Florida Representative Paul Renner was the guest speaker for April’s FCRC meeting at our new location in the Palm Coast Community Center on Wednesday evening, providing an extensive update on the 2018 Legislative Session in Tallahassee.

Hitting high notes with the audience, Renner discussed the recent legislation regarding school safety, the opioid crisis, beach access and the win for Flagler Schools with much needed dollars returning to Flagler County. Renner is campaigning for re-election in 2018 to continue working diligently for Flagler County and District 24.

Also on tap was the scheduled Palm Coast City Council Candidate Forum with attendance by former Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts, seeking to represent District 2, who spent time discussing his vast experience during his time serving the City of Palm Coast in addition to his philanthropic work in Flagler and public service across the region. Netts expanded on his vision with a list of initiatives he’d like to see completed to enhance the future of Palm Coast.

Palm Coast Councilwoman Heidi Shipley was unable to attend due to work constraints.

Our May 2nd meeting, also at the Palm Coast Community Center in the Sunshine Room, will feature candidates for Florida Attorney General with confirmed panelists Rep. Jay Fant and Judge Ashley Moody.
